It was a good run, but the Harrisonburg Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 47-39 to LaSalle. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harrisonburg in their matchups with LaSalle: they've now lost eight in a row.
Harrisonburg's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ryan Fuqua, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The contest was Fuqua's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Laine Dupuis, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for LaSalle, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisonburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Montgomery at 5:45 p.m. on December 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Montgomery is ranked 225th, while Harrisonburg is ranked 210th). As for LaSalle, they will head out on the road to face off against Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
