Softball Recap: Dakota Wins Going Away Against Utica Ford

While Dakota put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Utica Ford. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Dakota got a great performance from Brooke Cahill as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Cahill has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kiley Phelan, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Ross, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The victory snapped Dakota's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-5 record. As for Utica Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
