After two games on the road, Therrell is heading back home. They will take on the Model Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Therrell has not done well against Business Engineering Science Tech recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Therrell came out on top in a nail-biter against Business Engineering Science Tech and snuck past 23-20.
Meanwhile, Model put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over Gordon Central at home.
Therrell pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Towers and 1-9 Mt. Zion (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 24% over those games). As for Model, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
