The Frankfort Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Owen County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Frankfort fell victim to Great Crossing and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 1-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Warhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Owen County had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Owen County let Brody Hearn and Michael Smith run wild. Hearn went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Smith went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
