The Brockton Warriors were the 68-59 winner over the Culbertson Cowboys when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Brockton took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brockton has scored all season.
Culbertson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nyreece Halvorson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ian Snyder, who scored seven points.
Brockton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Culbertson, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Brockton will head out on the road to challenge the Mon-Dak Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. MonDak [Westby/Grenora] is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Culbertson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Bainville is ranked 120th, while the Cowboys are ranked 128th).
