The Caston Comets won the last time they faced the Pioneer Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Caston blew past Pioneer 63-34 on the road.
Among those leading the charge was Talon Zeider, who scored 18 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Caston's points. Caleb Stinson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Caston now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pioneer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caston will challenge Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Carroll is ranked 201st, while Caston is ranked 192nd). Pioneer's road trip will continue as they head out to face Triton at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th.
