The Holley Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 54-38 bruising from Wheatland-Chili. Holley has not had much luck with Wheatland-Chili recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Leading Wheatland-Chili to victory were Jaden Schwenebraten and Leighton Williams. Schwenebraten scored 19 points, while Williams scored 22 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Wheatland-Chili's points.
Holley bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wheatland-Chili, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Holley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wheatland-Chili will head out on the road to challenge Kendall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kendall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Wheatland-Chili likes a good challenge.
