The Homer Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 64-48 bruising from Tekamah-Herman. Homer lost against Tekamah-Herman in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-34 score last time.
Homer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Janessa Overgaard, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Overgaard continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Jocelyn Hightree was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Homer's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tekamah-Herman, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Homer and Archbishop Bergan will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Archbishop Bergan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Tekamah-Herman, they will head out on the road to face off against West Monona on Thursday.
