Given Christ Chapel Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Immanuel Christian is ranked 378th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christ Chapel Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dasia Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Zaria Gaskins was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Christ Chapel Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Immanuel Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

As for Immanuel Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chelsea Academy at 4:30 p.m. Chelsea Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Immanuel Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
