The Carrick Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Taylor Allderdice Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Carrick scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Westinghouse at home to the tune of 83-49. The win was a breath of fresh air for Carrick as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Taylor Allderdice had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past Perry Traditional Academy, posting a 87-33 win on the road. Given Taylor Allderdice's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while Perry Traditional Academy is ranked 670th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Logan Golle was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with six assists and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Azerick Jetter was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Carrick's record now sits at 8-12. As for Taylor Allderdice, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Carrick took a serious blow against Taylor Allderdice when the teams last played last Wednesday, falling 79-50. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Golle, who scored 31 points along with three steals. Now that Carrick knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
