The Spring Lions entered their tilt with the Fort Bend Travis Tigers with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. Spring managed a  51-45 victory over Fort Bend Travis  on Monday. Given Spring's advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 241st, while Fort Bend Travis is ranked 635th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Za'Kenya Thompson, who  scored 17 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which  Thompson has scored at least 25% of Spring's points.  Jada Thomas was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points.
 Spring has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Fort Bend Travis,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 7-12.
 Spring and Willis will round out the year against one another at 10:00  a.m.  on December 28th at. Willis is hoping to put an end to  a six-game streak of away losses. As for Fort Bend Travis, they will head out on the road to face off against Memorial at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Memorial's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last three games.
