When it comes to explaining why Carl Junction lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jett Hocut. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Hocut scored 15 or more points. Wyatt McAfee was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Nixa's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Carl Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nixa will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Neosho at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Carl Junction, they will head out on the road to square off against Monett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
