The Gaels took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over Nazareth. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gaels.
Among those leading the charge was KJ Dillon, who threw for 119 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes. Another big playmaker for Kennedy Catholic was Aidan Kinsley, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Kennedy Catholic proved: they limited Nazareth to a paltry -2 yards per carry. While five picked up at least four total tackles, Jake Alves stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made four total tackles. Kennedy Catholic's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.4.
Kennedy Catholic's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Clifton Delatorre was the leader with two.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 44 points the game before, Christ the King was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They took a 16-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Cross.
Christ the King's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Kennedy Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
