The Beavercreek Beavers will head out on the road to challenge the Sidney Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beavercreek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Ross hit Beavercreek with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Beavers took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.
Beavercreek got a big performance out of Evie Dunkle 2027, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Mckenna Beck 2027 also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sidney). Everything went their way against Stebbins on Monday as they made off with a 26-17 win.
Eliana Fink was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Avery Luginbill was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Sidney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stebbins only posted a batting average of .290.
Beavercreek's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Sidney, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beavercreek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Sidney struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Beavercreek came out on top in a nail-biter against Sidney in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
