Olivia Tringali was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Delilah Herro and Lily Beals did most of the damage at the plate: Herro went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Beals went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Ava Staehle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Carmel hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive games.
Carmel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
