The Westside Patriots''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They slipped by Butler 27-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Westside also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Jeanarion Kamga, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Westside's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Butler's QB won't forget Reonte Brown anytime soon given Brown sacked him five times.
Westside's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Butler, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Westside will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Thomson's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Butler, they will head out on the road to face off against Josey at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Josey comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
