Fans got a thrill when Dustin Carrell and Austin Byrd connected against Belmont. The connection went for 56 yards, the longest such play in 2A Region 1 this season.
Walnut scaled the state rankings by moving to 243 from 270 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats were able to make move up by beating Falkner 38-33.
