Whitehorse came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pinon Eagles by a score of 44-32. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in Utah, while the Eagles are ranked 141st in Arizona), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Whitehorse's record is now 6-2. As for Pinon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Whitehorse won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chinle at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pinon, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Pine Hill at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pine Hill will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Pinon surely won't give up without a fight.
