The Windermere Prep Lakers will take on the East Ridge Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Windermere Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Windermere Prep took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Crooms Academy by a score of 15-5 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Nicolas Pe?a, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Hollern, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Windermere Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
While East Ridge didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Cornerstone Charter Academy 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since March 28, 2025.
Tristan Rocha and JonMykal Boom did most of the damage at the plate: Rocha went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Boom got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Daniel Concepcion, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Windermere Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for East Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Windermere Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Windermere Prep suffered a grim 16-6 defeat to East Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can the Lakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
