Basketball Recap: Brookside Piles Up the Points Against Black River

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Avon, Brookside was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Black River Pirates 78-40. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Black River's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Broadsword, who posted 11 points. Austin Pamer was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Brookside's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Black River, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookside will welcome Firelands at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Black River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oberlin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
