Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Carter Markin stepped things up a notch to give South Fork the 'W'. Markin was unstoppable, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Fork is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-6 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Markin and South Fork will square off against Suncoast at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Markin has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (he's averaged 5.7 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering the Chargers have only allowed 4.09 per game this season.
