Softball Recap: Milton-Union Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Milton-Union barely beat Riverside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Pirates 12-2 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Milton-Union pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton-Union will challenge Lehman Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they will square off against Benjamin Logan at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
