The Chiloquin Panthers/Queens kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weed.
Renaissance Johnson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Maddie LaDue was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Chiloquin's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Weed, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Chiloquin will be playing in front of their home fans against Henley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Weed, they will square off against Butte Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
