The Wakefield School Fighting Owls put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Shenandoah Valley Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-22 win on the road. Wakefield School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.
Aya Mason was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Mason is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelle Domfeh, who scored seven points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.
Wakefield School's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Wakefield School will be playing at home against Tandem Friends at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tandem Friends comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Shenandoah Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Mountain View Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Mountain View Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday.
