Durham made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Oroville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Tigers on Wednesday. Considering the Trojans have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Annalee Horn and Sadie Sjolund were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Horn tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Sjolund didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Horn has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. At bat, Horn scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Sjolund scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
