On Saturday, Phillips put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 41-8 margin over McDonell Central. That result was just more of the same for Phillips, who also won the last time these teams played.
The victory bumped Phillips' record up to 3-4. McDonell Central are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Next week Phillips take on Wisconsin Heights at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. McDonell Central will stay at home against Mountain Iron-Buhl at 6:00 PM. McDonell Central's defense better steel itself: Mountain Iron-Buhl are averaging 33.6 points per game.
