The Garrison Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past San Augustine 58-10 at home. Fans of Garrison have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Garrison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Omarion Rasberry, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Rasberry is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Javien Black, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Garrison's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. As for San Augustine, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Garrison will head out on the road to face off against Timpson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Timpson's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for San Augustine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grapeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grapeland is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
