The King Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a rough 70-44 defeat at the hands of Rancho Verde. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points King has scored all season.
King lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justin Brayard, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Fincher, who scored seven points.
King has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Rancho Verde, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King will take on Corona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Corona's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Rancho Verde, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Poly at 7:00 p.m. Poly knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Rancho Verde likes a good challenge.
