Caliche was led to victory by Ava Hernandez and Karsyn Huss. Hernandez scored 25 points along with three steals, while Huss dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hallie Lewis, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Peetz struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Caliche pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Caliche's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Peetz, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Caliche will be playing at home against the Fightin' Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Haxtun is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
