They walked away with a 33-24 victory over John Carroll Catholic on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Melbourne Central Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Melbourne Central Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jane Cichock, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals. Jailyn Como was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Melbourne Central Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for John Carroll Catholic, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing St. Edward's the next time they take the court. Melbourne Central Catholic will head out to face St. Edward's at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while John Carroll Catholic will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
