For Dunellen's part, Kasey Manna and Kaity Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Manna tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Meanwhile, Garcia tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Manna posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. At the plate, Manna went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Garcia went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Garcia has hit this season.
In other batting news, Dunellen let Rose Ciccolella and Savanna McCann run wild. Ciccolella got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base, while McCann went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was Ciccolella's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Tigue, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Timothy Christian will square off against J.P. Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.6 runs per game on average), something Timothy Christian will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dunellen, they will venture away from home to square off against North Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
