The Richfield Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Camas County, falling 65-28. While losing is never fun, Richfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Camas County is ranked 27th).
Tristen Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Camas County, scoring 20 points along with five steals. Troy Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Richfield's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Camas County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richfield's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Rockland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Camas County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hagerman at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hagerman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
