The Harford Tech Cobras will look to defend their home court on Monday against Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m.
Harford Tech's 19-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Fallston on January 4th, falling 52-19. While losing is never fun, Harford Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Fallston is ranked 37th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Abi Marcello, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Strang, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Patterson Mill waltzed into their game on Thursday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over Fallston.
Harford Tech has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Patterson Mill, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Harford Tech suffered a grim 51-25 defeat to Patterson Mill in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Patterson Mill's Kiley Wilhelm, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Now that Harford Tech knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
