The South Ridge Panthers lost against the Cherry Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. South Ridge was outmatched by Cherry at home and fell 105-36. South Ridge has struggled against Cherry recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Cherry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Asuma, who scored 19 points along with seven assists and six steals. The game was Asuma's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Sundquist, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
South Ridge now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cherry, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
South Ridge will face off against Barnum at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Cherry will be home for the holidays to greet Moose Lake/Willow River at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
