Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grundy County/Newtown-Harris to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corbin Axtell, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The contest was Axtell's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate McClaran, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Pattonsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
