Post Falls is 0-10 against Coeur d'Alene since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. Post Falls has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Two weeks ago, Post Falls needed a bit of extra time to put away Lewiston. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bengals 22-20. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 30, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Post Falls got a massive performance out of Jaya Felix, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. Those four runs gave Felix a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sienna Williams, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
Post Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Coeur d'Alene strolled into their game two weeks ago with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over Sandpoint.
Kyndal Bridge was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-5. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Ellie Henderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Coeur d'Alene's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for Post Falls, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Post Falls hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Coeur d'Alene struggles in that department as they've averaged .384. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Post Falls came up short against Coeur d'Alene in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 9-5. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
