Cannon can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-39 victory over Charlotte Latin. With Cannon ahead 35-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Cannon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kierra Morrow out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Drayton, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, 1 of 1 Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Victory Christian Center on Tuesday, taking the game 65-52. Given 1 of 1 Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Victory Christian Center is ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cannon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for 1 of 1 Academy, their win bumped their record up to 21-7.
