Softball Recap: Lasalle Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

LaSalle entered their tilt with Montgomery on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Montgomery. LaSalle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matches by six runs or more this season.

LaSalle's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Montgomery, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Coming up, LaSalle will venture away from home to take on Ouachita Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Montgomery Tigers duke it out with Calvin Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvin has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.65 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
