Even though the Cindy Avitia Jaguars have not done well against the Apostles Lutheran Falcons recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Cindy Avitia snuck past Apostles Lutheran with a 42-37 victory. The win was familiar territory for Cindy Avitia who now have three in a row.
Despite the loss, Apostles Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Bork, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. The game was Bork's third in a row with at least ten points. Chris Kim was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 18 rebounds and 4 steals.
Cindy Avitia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Apostles Lutheran, they have fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cindy Avitia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against DCP Alum Rock at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
