The Bremen Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Adairsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bremen entered their tilt with Coahulla Creek with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Bremen blew past Coahulla Creek, posting a 44-7 victory at home.
Meanwhile, Adairsville had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They breezed by Gordon Lee on the road to the tune of 40-7. With Adairsville ahead 40-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Adairsville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Gough out in front who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Blome also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Bremen's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Adairsville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Bremen came up short against Adairsville when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 14-7. Thankfully for Bremen, Chris Roper (who rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
