The Bella Vista Broncos won the last time they faced the River Valley Falcons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Bella Vista managed a 59-53 win over the Falcons. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bella Vista.
Mikey Simonyan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Rickett, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why River Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Munneth Gill. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Yuvraj Dosanjh, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, River Valley were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bella Vista only posted seven assists.
Bella Vista has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for River Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bella Vista will take on the Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodcreek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Broncos in California (the Timberwolves are ranked 115th, while the Broncos are ranked 541st). As for River Valley, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Roseville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
