The Boynton Beach Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 72-47 loss at the hands of Park Vista. Boynton Beach was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.
Park Vista can attribute much of their success to Jazz Ligons, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Ligons pulled down eight or more rebounds. Isaac Saenz was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Boynton Beach's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Park Vista, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boynton Beach will take on the Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Lavar Jamison and Marvis Pementer. As for Park Vista, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. Lake Worth presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Cobras in Florida (the Trojans are ranked 34th, while the Cobras are ranked 318th).
