Superior had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They really took it to the High Plains Storm for the full four quarters, racking up a 73-33 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Storm are ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why High Plains lost, don't look at Peyton Hofmann. Despite the final result, she went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points.

Superior pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for High Plains, they moved to 19-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Superior will have a chance to go back-to-back against High Plains: the pair will be back at it again later today.
