The West Laurens Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Perry. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dorian Watkins, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jumarie Hill, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
West Laurens dropped their record down to 2-18 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.
West Laurens will head out on the road to challenge the Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
