Greater Beckley Christian found their leader in underclassman Leah Adkins, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Adkins has scored at least 25% of Greater Beckley Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Aislinn Pelfrey, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Greater Beckley Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for New Life Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
