Softball Recap: Seaholm's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Seaholm dropped their record down to 9-4 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oxford Wildcats. The Maples were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

For Oxford's part, Megan Grenillo was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that Grenillo has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Ganz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seaholm will welcome Berkley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxford, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Adams at 4:30 p.m.
