On the hitting side, Bode Moore was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Ottesen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy got themselves on the board against Bell County on Monday, but Bell County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Bobcats. Considering the Flashes have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
St. Joseph Academy also got a great performance from Neil Gornto as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Lewis, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Dayton Taylor was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville skirted past St. Joseph Academy 4-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
