The Windsor Central Black Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Chenango Valley Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Windsor Central came up short against Susquehanna Valley on Monday, falling 9-2. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berkley Ingram spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Makynzie Woodward made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Emily Flagg also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Chenango Valley had taken Chenango Forks down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Warriors took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils.

Abby Cron was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Cron was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Cron wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Hubenthal, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Kamryn Watson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Windsor Central suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Chenango Valley, their record now sits at 0-1.

Windsor Central might still be hurting after the 13-5 loss they got from Chenango Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Black Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
