Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) heads to the Arizona this weekend for the Nike TOC, the final national tournament before teams start gearing up for the postseason.
The potential for a second Mater Dei-Marymount showdown exists should the two make it to the final as they did two weeks ago at the Durango Fall Classic. The Monarchs beat the Sailors in an epic three-set battle that vaulted them to the top spot in the rankings.
Hamilton Southeastern remains the top team in Class 4A but No. 21
Yorktown and several others could have a say in that come postseason play.
