After four games on the road, Waterford is heading back home. They will take on the Fitch Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Waterford, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-55 loss to the Titans.
Fitch can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 74-63 victory over Harding. Given Fitch's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Presidents are ranked 116th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Fitch, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
Waterford came up short against the Falcons in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 46-34. Can Waterford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
